The balance assist bar in designed to help keep your balance when entering and exiting your bathtub or shower. Easy to install in any position you might need. It is not designed to bear heavy weights or to resist impact. It is not recommended as a security or grab bar, only to help maintain your balance. 

It is good practice to remove and clean the suction cups after every use for optimal function (and to avoid loud nocturnal surprises).
